Passenger Planes Shot Down

Commercial passenger jets full of civilians were shot down by militaries around the world in three different instances. Korean Air Lines Flight 007 was shot down on August 31, 1983 on its way to Seoul. Iran Air Flight 655 was shot down on its short flight to Dubai on July 3, 1988.
