Thank you | 5000+ Downloads | Coffee's on Me, David Quan 权丁文 Podcast

Grateful for a milestone 5000+ podcast downloads! But this will be the last such update for a while because this Podcast has been founded upon 3 ideals: 1) Purpose of giving – (1) to give guests a ‘legacy-worthy interview’, which is a meaningful piece of recording that captures a snapshot of who they are for 10-20 years time, and (2) to ‘give listeners heartfelt conversations filled with authentic insights… while cooking, commuting, relaxing, or walking their pets.’2) Learning from others – (1) ‘through genuine discussions… meticulously engaging in a curious process of clarifications or elaborations’ to build empathy, and (2) ‘Over time, I hope to be able to better deconstruct guests' fascinating experiences – to seamlessly tease out the insights’3) Sharing of stories – (1) ‘To converse with someone without a strict time limit or structure… also allows the sharing of otherwise unshared or unappreciated anecdotes. There are appeals to sound-bite media, of course, but the metrics that matter most to me are more about the uniqueness of contribution than measures of virality.’When I started this Podcast (at a low point of my time at Cambridge), I genuinely did not expect much engagement and was mostly nervous about humiliating myself. This is because, even after the last 45 coffee chats, let alone at that particular point in time, I recognize that my communication, empathy, and knowledge are still very much a work-in-progress. But I still hold the deep conviction that this passion project – if wholly true to the founding motivations about giving, learning, and sharing – is a worthwhile pursuit. The guests deserve so much credit for their courage and insights. So, despite all my inadequacies, I am so grateful and look forward to the next ☕️! Thank you for your continued feedback, engagement, and nominations 😊 ---Thank you to all the guests who have courageously shared their journeys:• Jack Wu (Natural Sciences)  • Lilla Bond (Geography)  • Tim Tian (Music) • Anna Piper-Thompson (English)  • Lily McGrail (Theology)  • Abdullah Khan (Architecture)  • Umair Ahmad (Engineering) • Guanting Di (Law) • Lizzie Davy (Law)• Chirath Lekamge (School Captain, Saints) • Mizanur Rahman (History)  • Anna Morgan (HSPS)  • Hayley Canham (Classics)  • Daisy Tozer (English) • The Anonymous Bouncer (HSPS)• Jenni Morris (Land Economy) • Fortune Isoka-Onwordi (Land Economy)  • Joshan Parmer (Maths) • Dhruv Makwana (Computer Science PhD) • Mike Hood (English)  • Sal Widdicombe (Chinese)  • Linn Tengvall (Goldman Sachs)  • Freddie Fisk (History)  • Jesimiel Akinsuyi (Natural Sciences)  • Max Ghose (HSPS) • Jackson Miller (Start Up Founder)• Sophie Clare (MML) • Mona Yao (Engineering)• Will Smith (NBL1 GM)  • Lucy Williams (Education)• Alex Ramsay (HSPS) • Xinman (Yoyo) Liu (Education)• Sameer Merchant (CEO City Investment Training)  • Ewan Martin-Kane (English)• Laura Lungu (Neuroscience PhD) • Ekaterina Komarova (Brown + Cambridge Universities)  • Jezz Brown (HSPS)  • Emily Arnold (Development Studies) • Indran & Shiva Mukherjee (School Captain, Prefects, Saints)  • Hassan Eusufally (Entrepreneurship)  • Daniel Dipper (History & Politics) • Lisa Levytska (MML)  • Brian Wong (Rhodes Scholar PhD Politics, Oxford)  • Peter McCartney (Engineering)---CONTACT MEHaving grown up in Xi'an, China, and Adelaide, Australia, I am a 3rd year undergraduate student at Clare College, University of Cambridge, UK. Please do have the courage to say hello!LinkTree: https://linktr.ee/DavidQuan
