Dear DSO: ""The Dead Bedroom Fix works... but only if I continuously put in work."

A reader emails me about his dilemma: Sure, the stuff outlined in The Dead Bedroom Fix worked for him... but he always has to put in some kind of work to get his wife in the mood, otherwise nothing happens. Early in their relationship, he didn't have to do anything. Just being himself was enough. Is he wrong to be bothered by this?
