Relationships are failing. Meredith finds out that DeLuca is acting more like his father due to a disease called Mania. Joe has no idea what's going on with Alec. A patient is dealing with the aftermath of a bear attack and his wife has a secret high school lover. Patient dies and Joe compares their relationship to her own. DeLuca and Dr. Riley finds out what’s wrong with their sick patient and takes a huge risk with them. Luckly, they are right and she is fine. Maggie helps Amelia as she is lying in bed depressed over her situation with Link. Amelia breaks up with Link and decides to not take the test and to never tell Owen about the baby situation. Foster boy reunites with his family thanks to Bailey. Richard is still depressed about his failing marriage with Catherine.
