Debt crisis and the global economy with Barry Eichengreen

In this episode, we are joined by Barry Eichengreen, Professor of Economics and Political Science at UC Berkley, to discuss the global economy and how it has changed in the past 12 weeks. Professor Eichengreen says that the path of the economic recovery will be conditioned by the public health policies, and predicts inflation to stay low in the short run. The professor talks about debt, saying that it will be a drag on economic growth, but ’there was no choice’. He also reveals whether he thinks a global financial reset is coming, and talks about the currency rivals to the US dollar.
