We just learned that Schwab (NYSE: SCHW) is officially acquiring TD Ameritrade (NASDAQ: AMTD) in an all-stock deal, which will create a wealth management powerhouse with more than $5 trillion under management. Separately, PayPal (NASDAQ: PYPL) is spending $4 billion to acquire deal-finding platform Honey, which could help enhance the shopping experience for PayPal’s 300 million users.
