Leaders in self-managing organizations realize they need to "give up control." But what does that really mean? How have other leaders experienced this? Also: sometimes I've noticed that leaders beat themselves up for finding it hard to give up control... when in reality, it wasn't their ego preventing them from doing it, but a valuable intuition that it would be foolish to do so until some concrete steps were taken for the organization to be able to take over control.
