Natalie Weaver: Bringing Positivity & Light To Darkness

This is an emotional episode that covers child loss. It may not be best to listen at work or on the way to work but if you carve out a moment, you may be forever changed. Natalie Weaver is one of the strongest and bravest women in the world. The first speech she ever gave went viral and she was personally thanked by President Obama. Jamie became friends with Natalie via Instagram several years ago, during a time when Natalie's daughter, Sophia, was experiencing online hate for her facial differences and disabilities. Natalie describes her fight against Twitter and Instagram to make positive change for the disabled community. Sadly, Sophia passed away in May 2019, but Natalie continues to keep her memory alive through the work of her non-profit, Sophia's Voice. Natalie discusses experiencing every parent's worst fear and how, just this week, she is feeling that fire to live again. She shares inspirational advice to anyone experiencing loss, grief, fear and hate. Stay tuned to the end for Jamie's takeaways and a message for the listener of the week, Mellabella716 aka Melanie.
