There are two ways of consuming art: owning it, or renting it. We can own a CD of music, a book with our favorite novel, a painting, a DVD movie. But we also can rent the consumption of art - - by attending a music concert, borrowing a book from the library, watching a television show or streaming a movie. The first is a physical-based relationship, the second is a short term experience.
