David Furnish
Today I am joined by the fabulous David Furnish for an extra special episode to mark World Aid’s Day. David is a tireless campaigner and a leading voice in the worldwide fight against HIV and AIDS. David serves as the chairman of the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF), a non-profit organisation established by the musician in 1992 to help fund frontline partners to prevent infections, fight stigma and provide treatment to the most vulnerable groups affected by HIV around the world. This year marks the 27th anniversary of the Foundation and while 2020 has certainly faced extra challenges, the foundation has worked hard to maintain momentum and support. In this episode, we discuss lockdown life, the importance of human connection, how the Foundation has continued to raise awareness around AIDS during a pandemic and David makes it very clear that they will not stop until they have achieved their goal.
