Lifting The Lid - Episode 73 - The one about Linus and his blanket

Steve and Clare discuss our relationship between past, present and future, noticing how our present state is often influenced by our past or by our future. Is this different when past and future experiences are held or imagined as positive or negative? Could the negative past be a comfort blanket protecting us? Is the current penchant for selfies and recording our experiences on social media, moving us more away from the present experience? Are we becoming more comfortable in making our present experiences, past experiences? Also, how does our language influence this unconsciously? Do we unwittingly ask a future intended question in the past tense? What sequences do we habitually follow as we consider an experience or decision - past, future, present or future, present, past ... or something else? And is the sequence different in different situations? Could we learn from our children's ability to be very present?
