Episode 177 - Moments of Truth and Healing

There are times when myth and fact come together. And we are now living in an era when the crises and dilemmas we face reach mythic proportions. We have reached a critical point in terms of dealing with the coronavirus and facing the societal fault lines further revealed by the pandemic. The current arguments about wearing masks or not only distract from a deeper unmasking of how we value human life and the need for greater truth-telling if we are to develop trust and find deeper ways of healing.

The lack of truth and empathy in political life will further dehumanize life and divide us if we don't find the antidote in ourselves. Michael Meade offers an old story that reveals the essential connection between truth and healing that can lead us to deeper states of compassion, empathy, and mutual understanding.
