S2: Episode 77 - Chatting with an optimistic mom who views perceived 'failures' as learning opportunities

Krista is the mother to Alex, age 19, diagnosed on the autism spectrum and Anna, age 17 who is neurotypical.  In her previous life before kids, she earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and worked in public accounting for 11 years. Since then, she has spent her time raising two wonderful kids and enjoys sharing all types of information about her family’s autism journey with others while also learning from the many parents in the world of special needs. Om Podcasten

This podcast comes to you from a very tired and eternally hopefully autism mom of an adult son with profound needs. My intention is to bring together caregivers of special needs children and those who may want to gain a better understanding of our challenges and triumphs. Through the sharing of our stories and experience, I hope to build a larger, more inclusive community of support. Living the Sky Life offers a personal connection from someone who walks daily in caregiver shoes.
