14 more IELTS myths busted

There is so much misinformation online about the IELTS exam is that it can be hard for  test-takers to know what is an IELTS myth and what is an IELTS fact. In one of our first episodes, Nick and I discussed 15 questions from our listeners that started with the expression "Is it true that..." and then we discussed which were correct and which were not. Today, we do the same with 14 more IELTS myths! confident about which IELTS rumours are true and which are pure invention!  You can find the full episode notes at  http://blog.myieltsclassroom.com/ielts-myths/ In this episode, you will find out if the following sentences are truth or myth:The listening test is more difficult now than it used to be.Speaking with an English or America accent will get you a higher score for pronunciationExaminers are currently being more lenient because of the current COVID pandemic. If I write more than 250 words, I will get a higher score. Writing more means my English is stronger. Using very complex sentences will get me a high score in writing. It is a bad idea to the examiner to repeat a question in the speaking exam if I don't hear it clearly as this will l imply that I don’t understand English well. If the examiner does not agree with my opinion in the speaking or writing part I will get a low band score. If you sit the computer-based test, examiners can check your spelling with a spell checker.
