Episode 4: You, Me, Everybody

Episode 4 is about diversity and representation in kids' books. We chat with our special guest, Jessica Walton, the author of the delightful picture book Introducing Teddy. Jess is disabled, queer and the daughter of a trans parent. She delves into the importance of all kids being able to see themselves represented in kids' books, and shares some future types of books she'd like to write and see published. In Kids' Capers this episode, meet a wide range of kids of different ages, and discover their book recommendations - it's a wonderful 'fly on the wall' chance to hear directly from kids the types of stories and characters that resonate with them. You can also take part in our latest competition. This time we're giving away two books in A.L. Tait's Ateban Cipher series, The Book of Secrets and The Book of Answers. This is an exciting new middle grade adventure series about a boy named Gabe who's handed a coded manuscript, and sets out on a mission to deliver it to a mysterious man.
