Protect Yourself From Ticks and Focusing in Landscape Photography

Episode 6: In today’s Tidbit Tuesday, I share five quick tips on how to protect yourself from contracting a tick-borne illness after spending time in nature.  Ticks are prevalent all over the world, and while their bites are sometimes harmless, they can also transmit pathogens that cause pretty debilitating diseases.  Preventing bites in the first place can go a long way in keeping you safe from these little critters.  I then answer one of our listener’s questions on the topic of where to focus in landscape photography.  Enjoy!LINKS MENTIONED:Outdoor Photography School Tick Safety GuideHow to Safely Remove a Tick VideoSymptoms of Tick-Borne Illnesses (CDC)Environmental Protection Agency’s Repellent Search ToolList of Repellents Safe for SkinNote: Some of the resources below may be affiliate links, meaning I receive a commission (at no extra cost to you) if you use that link to make a purchase.Product Links:Sawyer Permethrin ProductsSawyer Picaridin Insect RepellentOutdoor clothing companies that provide permethrin-containing clothing:LL BeanREIFull Show Notes***HAVE A QUESTION?Record a Question for Tidbit TuesdayLOVE THE OUTDOOR PHOTOGRAPHY PODCAST?Ways you can support the show:Buy Me a CoffeeLeave a Rating and ReviewShare the show with others!CONFUSED ABOUT WHERE TO FOCUS?Download my FREE Hyperfocal Distance Made Easy EbookABOUT BRENDA PETRELLA (host)Learn more about meVisit my online portfolioConnect with me on Instagram
