Finding a Billion Dollar Idea!

Whether it is a work of art, a collectible piece of history, an autograph from an inspirational athlete, or a quote from an entrepreneurial leader, these things in which we surround ourselves with, have a profound affect on us.  Knowing that these great Individuals have encountered challenges in their lives, and have found the courage to triumph over them, defying the impossible and changing the world, is both inspiring and it gives us strength.  The most successful individuals in the world are known for collecting art, autographed items, and for using quotes to derive inspiration.  We've found a way to bring all of these things together in a way that will both inspire you, and give you long term investment value.     Today on the podcast we’re sharing our journey into creating Billionaire Collectables. Several years back, we wanted to launch a business that we were both inspired by, a business that we could wake up feeling excited to work on. We tossed around a few different ideas, including Ildiko’s Bikini Line, which started to get some momentum, but just didn’t feel right. One night after watching The Walk, a movie about Philippe Petit, the man who walked across a wire between the tops of the Twin Towers, we started having a deep conversation about how entrepreneurs would be inspired by this film and other great athletes, inventors and CEO’s. We thought it would be amazing to create pieces of art based on these high performing people, which could be displayed in homes, offices, lobbies etc... We took this idea and ran with it and created our first pieces to sell. Coincidentally we’re both collectors and actually had some pieces in our own collections that we used for Billionaire Collectables first items to sell.   We hope this episode gives you some inspiration to put the wheels in motion on your side hustle or business idea. An important takeaway is that you shouldn’t force your idea. The best ideas will reveal themselves to you in prayer or meditation. Talk to your spouse and make sure you’re both equally excited about an idea.   "It felt right, your gut will tell you. You’re going to fall on such amazing blessings and signs if you just ask for them and that’s what happened." - Ildiko Ferenczi    This Week on Pretty and Punk: Why Dan and Ildiko gave up the red carpets and living in the fast lane Why trying to force a business idea never works How inspiration can be found through meditation or prayer The importance of legacy Why Ildiko wanted her first born son to grow up watching her and Dan create businesses they’re passionate about The importance of figuring out how to “sell” Why word of mouth can still be the best publicity What the process is like for hunting down extremely rare and valuable collectable pieces Why you always have to kept dreaming   Connect with the Pretty and Punk Podcast: Pretty and Punk Website Pretty and Punk Podcast on Facebook Pretty and Punk Podcast on Instagram Spicy Lil Pepper on Instagram Punk Ass on LinkedIn Resources: Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook: How To Sell Your Story in a Noisy Social World – Gary Vaynerchuk
