320: Maximize Profits by Investing in Your People with Sherry Deutschmann

Sometimes those in my network will suggest authors for the show they know personally.
When this happens, I’ve been known to be skeptical.

Though we have the best of intentions, it can be difficult not to recommend someone we personally like, even if their work is just ‘okay.’
As soon as I cracked open this week’s featured book, I knew I didn’t need to be concerned that the recommendation came from a friend of the author.
Not only is this friend a former co-worker of mine, but she’s also got excellent taste in people and their works. Thank you Leah for bringing Sherry Deutschmann to my attention.
Sherry’s new book (and her first) is called Lunch with Lucy: Maximize Profits by Investing in Your People.
I literally cried at least twice as a read it. The stories of Sherry’s journey – and the way she runs her businesses – is that compelling.
She’s an unconventional leader, and a much-needed breath of fresh air to leadership in my view.
