1164: The 3 Principles I've Used To Create 1,164 Daily Podcasts (despite being a lazy bum)

This is my 1,164th daily podcast, even though I'm basically a lazy bum.  Here are 3 principles I've used to do it. Principle 1: Simplicity Each podcast is short - 4-10 minutes, and deals with one thing. No guests (aside from Seth Godin on episode 1,000) No editing or real production value (I just used my phone for ages) Principle 2: Strategy Almost every problem in life is caused by short-term thinking My strategic goal was consistency, NOT quality Quality early on is a trap that stops you doing anything. Gmail was in beta for years. My podcast is ALWAYS in beta (like my life) Principle 3: Identity Daily shipping became part of my identity/story. Some days I'm busy, tired or out of ideas ... but who wants to break a streak of 30, 50, 100, 1000? Not me.  ------------------- The Stories Mean Business podcast with Nick Warren. Om Podcasten

One idea a day from a geek business builder. After 1,000 episodes, the jury is in – this is the world's slackest podcast. 5-minutes a day on story, strategy or whatever's yanked my chain. No guests. No ads. No apologies. This is me thinking out loud, putting things together, going down dead ends and making mistakes. ——— www.StoriesMeanBusiness.com/podcast
