You'll find a lot of so called experts on personal development telling people to follow their passion when it comes to career decisions. they say things like "Do what you love and love what you do". I'm sure this advice comes from a desire to be encouraging and positive, but it's actually horrible advice. In today's episode we'll consider the importance of not letting your passions rule your life and why it's vitally important that you temper your passion with logic when it comes to career choices. For most people, a career should provide economic abundance along with personal fulfillment. If you're chasing a passion, especially when it comes to career, be reasonable in your assessment about your chances of achieving it. The world isn't all rainbows and unicorns; and career success takes more than just passion. It also takes talent, skill, and ability.
