This week it’s my pleasure to introduce you to Gavin Smith who has worked in the public transport industry for over 20 years, starting his career as a bus driver in London. From there he moved into operations roles which eventually led to a five year secondment to Singapore as Operations Director for Go Ahead.During those five years Gavin digitised all operational processes through developing a bespoke app for the business, delivered improved efficiency through operational reviews and became involved in international tendering, leading to successful secondments in Australia and a Project Director role with Go Ahead Group.Six months ago he relocated to East Anglia where he is currently Managing Director of Go Ahead’s Operations there.
