The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly forum on Neutralizing Workplace Racism. During last week's broadcast, "B in Santa Rosa" discussed being accosted by a White man while delivering packages. We discussed the importance of having and using a code to keep you safe while delivering packages to White people's property. Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, there have been an astounding number of reports of black delivery drivers being threatened and abused. Consequently, Gus recommends extreme caution when approaching a White person's residence. Our conversation about the dangers of delivering happened on February 11th. The previous day, CNN reported that a 24-year-old black male FedEx driver, D'Monterrio Gibson, was chased and shot at by a White father and son.
