The Lake ❤️ Alice: The KutiMangoes

Fela Kuti + Charles Mingus = The KutiMangoes – is that the simple equation and the entire “secret” for being a Danish critically acclaimed afrojazz-band? Or is it because The KutiMangoes are seeing themselves acting like the biological phenomenon “tropism”? On the 21st of September 2019, the Copenhagen based band, The KutiMangoes, performed at ALICE cph. In this program you will meet Michael Blicher and Gustav Rasmussen, the two founders of the band, who have toured around the world. They will talk and share their point of view how it is to communicate a style of music that very likely can be perceived differently depending on where you are from. Guests: Michael Blicher and Gustav Rasmussen Produced by Niels Malte Lundsgaard
