Adventures with Manchan Magan

You may be familiar with Manchan Magan from his many brilliant travel TV shows, his books about the beauty of the Irish language, and his columns about living simply and sustainably. But behind the public profile is a man who lives every day life in a way that is very different to how most of the rest of us live.  He built his own house out of straw bales, he doesn’t own a TV, and he grows and rears most of what he eats – I really wanted to find out more about what drives him to live this way, what he loves about it, but also whats difficult about it too. Poor Manchan also faced some pretty tough calls from listeners this week – Michael O’leary, Conor McGregor, Gerry Adams, and Hector among them. Manchan’s online Irish course - https://www.thetrailblazery.com/scoilscairteThis is the tour of Arán & Im starting on 25th Sept. https://www.manchan.com/ar%C3%A1n---imManchan’s new book - https://www.dubraybooks.ie/TREE-DOGS-AND-BANSHEE-FINGERS-AND-OTHER-IRISH-WORDS-FOR-NATURE_9780717192557COMEDY: One of the questions that has been occupying my mind of late is what the NPHET team are going to do once this whole covid thing finally comes to something of an end.
