From Losing it All to Building Several Streams of Income

Investing is a risk. That’s the reality. Some found quick success but for others, it’s not been a flowery path. In this episode, Liz and Andresa share an honest conversation with Ginny Adkins. She’s a real estate entrepreneur who had gone through ups and downs at the start of her career. From losing everything, even a friend along the way, she has built herself and her business back up by learning from her mistakes and leaning on her network. Listen in and be inspired by her story! Ginny Adkins bought her first flip in 2016 and lost a lot of money. But she kept going. She’s been a turnkey provider for many leaders in the industry including Real Wealth Network, Get Rich Education, the Real Estate Radio Guys, and others. For 5 years, she’s been a real estate agent, and now, she’s a Broker Associate with the InvestHer EXP Team where she also leads the Orlando InvestHer Meetup. Ginny has an Interior Design background with a side staging business and a local pool service business. Happily married for nearly 26 years to Joel, they have two amazing grown daughters, Shelby & Kasey. Ginny also loves to travel and spend time with my family.  Quotes • “I think what was running through my head was I'm not letting this happen. I just can't let this happen. My family needs me to succeed. ” (20:05-20:15) • “I was really scared. I'm not going to lie. There were times when I was really scared, and I was like, I don't know if I can do this. But what I did know is that I knew people, That's so key. And I would say that to any woman out there, it is all about who's your circle." (20:56-21:17) • “I know a lot of people have great success in a short amount of time. I think because of what I've been through, I'm a lot more conservative, and I'm okay with that. I'm okay doing it slowly because I want to know that I'm building strength underneath my belt.” (21:41-21:58) • “That's the problem. We, women, do, too. We take on too much to kind of prove our strength and think that, ‘yes, I got it all, and I can hold everything on my shoulders.’ And we can. We just shouldn't. It's not that you can't do it, but then you’d burn out. ” (25:21-25:38) • “It really lines up what your role is: who's responsible? Who's the final say on every little detail? Like Andresa always says, when it comes to the finishes, who makes that decision? Because you can both argue that somebody makes the decision, the final say.” (29:10-29:25)  • “Think about the bottleneck. What are the things that don't matter and it's just a bottleneck? You have partnerships so you can leverage time and move along.” (33:14-33:27) Connect with Ginny: Website: www.ginnybuyshouses.com IG: @ginnybuyshouses and @ginnyadkinsrealestate FB: @ginnybuyshouses and @ginnyadkinsrealestate Twitter: @ginvestorchick LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ginnyadkins/ Resource Mentioned: Rich Woman by Kim Kiyosaki InvestHER CON  Time: June 23-24  Place: Charlotte, NC InvestHER CON is a full circle transformational experience created with the women investors’ needs, desires, and schedules in mind.
