Chris Rodriguez is an American recording artist, guitarist, producer and singer/songwriter. Born in the Bronx, Rodriguez moved to Nashville, becoming a veteran of the scene in the early 1990s. Rodriguez has worked as backup singer and guitarist in Christian, Country and Pop formats, appearing on recordings by Michael Bolton, Steven Curtis Chapman, Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Faith Hill, Billy Joel, Wynonna, Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, Rich Mullins, Dolly Parton, Shania Twain, Michael W. Smith, Megadeth and many more.

As a touring musician, Rodriguez has worked with Shania Twain, Kelly Clarkson, Faith Hill, Keith Urban, LeAnn Rimes, Peter Cetera and many others. Rodriguez has also releases solo albums titled Paraíso De Un Mendigo (1991), Beggar's Paradise (1999), and Monkey Boy (2007). Rodriguez also leads Nashville-based band The Alternators, which features Nashville session players that interchange as their schedules allow. Now matter how you slice it, Rodriguez has shaped the sound of Nashville’s music scene since the 1990’s.
