1. Why do people go to therapy?

av The Therapy Show | Publicerades 6/8/2021

In this episode Bob and Jacci ask the question why do people go to therapy?

Bob shares his own experience of being in therapy and how his journey into Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy started.

Jacci's journey began through wanting to better support the children she looked after as a foster carer.

We discus stigma around mental health and not only what brings the client to the therapy room but also what brings the therapist to the therapy room!

The motivation, and desire to have a different outcome.

Therapy isn't just sitting in a room talking, it's a human encounter that happen's between two people.

The therapeutic relationship is a co created between the therapist and the client.
