065 - The Challenger was Myself with Gerald "Scrutch" Scrutchions

As a Black man, Scrutch shares his lived experience as a leader in health and wellness. This currently spans from his family, high school students and in studio teaching yoga. When he found yoga, he found that the challenger was himself, rather than an opponent as he finds in Jiu Jitsu. He found camaraderie in yoga. Bringing equity and access to wellness spaces for the BIPOC community is part of his current mission.Connect with Scrutch HEREBuy Bonnie a cup of tea at @Bonnie-WeeksSign up for Bonnie’s sexy Sunday poetry prompts HEREConnect with Bonnie: Instagram, Email (hello@bonnieweeks.com), WebsiteThe music for this episode is Threads by The Light Meeting. Om Podcasten

To be Yoga Strong is to pay attention to not only your body, but how you navigate being human. While combining strength and grace creates a powerful flow-based yoga practice, it is the practice of paying attention in the same ways off-the-mat that we hope to build. This podcast is a guide for yoga teachers, practitioners and people trying to craft a life they're proud AF about. This is about owning your voice. This is about resilience, compassion, sensuality, and building a home in yourself. We don't do this alone.
