Lectio: Lent When Life is Already Hard

This episode's Lectio is from the first Sunday of Lent, the first reading. Lectio means "reading" in Latin. I decided to release this episode earlier in the week to line up with Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent 2021. I had been thinking a lot about what it means to do Lent during a pandemic, when life is already hard. When browsing upcoming Sunday readings for a Lectio, I was drawn to the story of Noah. Upon study, I was completely floored by the connection of God's covenant with Noah to Jesus' suffering and death, and what this all means for Lent. If you want to follow along, the passage is Genesis 9:8-15.
