#27 - Emma Drewery, Behavioural Optometrist

This week on the podcast, we welcome Emma Drewery. Emma graduated from UWCC with a BSc(Hons) in Optometry followed by a pre-registration working year at Newcastle Royal Infirmary Eye Department. She worked in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling for independent and group opticians for over ten years. Whilst working she gained a diploma in Sports Vision in 2004 and also began her training with the British Association of Behavioural Optometrists. In 2007 Emma opened her own optometrist practice in Bridge of Allan to help her develop her specialist skills in sport and childrens vision alongside providing high quality family eyecare. Did you know that you can have 20/20 vision but poor visual processing? Emma explains how this can result in injuries within athletes and poor behaviour from our pupils.
