A Wee Bit of Everything: Ep 16 - Interview with Scottish Commonwealth Games Gymnast, Shannon Archer

This week on the show we are joined by team Scotland and team GB Gymnast, Shannon Archer. Shannon's passion for gymnastics started when she was only 4 years old. As a result of her commitment, work ethic and discipline she has made to the elite level in the sport where she has represented her country at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in 2018 where she managed to get a top 10 finish for her performance. On today's episode, Shannon covers what a week of training looks like for her on the build up to a competition, how she trains her body to remain flexible and the importance of this and how she manages her anxiety prior to performing on the beam. We also find out what makes a high quality Gymnastics performance. It's inspiring for us to see how disciplined Shannon is with her training and how much work is required to stay in peak condition for gymnastics. It seems there really is no substitute for hard work and consistency.
