As the granddaughter of a Palestinian refugee and the daughter of Lebanese and Colombian immigrants to the U.S., Yasmina centers the Middle East and Latin America in her worldview and her work. Yasmina is currently a PhD student at the University of Wisconsin - Madison pursuing a degree in Educational Policy Studies. Her research focuses on the intersection of education, migration, and language.
