Brady Fenn joins Brad on today’s episode to chat about his co-run company, Fenn Rogers Construction, and the journey his business has taken. What began as Jeff’s solo company, Jeff Rogers Construction, soon turned into a partnership when Jeff saw the potential in both his and Brady’s skills and knowledge, and how they would bounce off of each other's strengths and weaknesses. Brady and Brad talk about how important growth, education, and knowledge is to your business, and how you should constantly strive to change and evolve. Brady discusses the difficulties of a partnership, but says valuing the other as a person, showing appreciation, and respectfully voicing your opinions and disagreements is the key. He shares how much of a resource the subcontractors working around him were, and how he always respected Jeff for the way he treated them. Jeff always maintains a good personal relationship with each subcontractor individually and shows his appreciation daily. Building mutual respect, which really helps in moments of correction. They chat about holding yourself accountable, staying honest in everything you do, and creating an environment where it is okay and encouraged to ask questions.
