ATOOC: Japan Airlines Collision in Tokyo

In this episode, we go over to Japan as we just learned about the incident that took place in Tokyo. A Japan Airlines Airbus A350 arriving from Sapporo to Tokyo Narita was touching down when the aircraft impacted a Japanese Coast Guard Dash-8 and burst into flames. Everyone on board the Japan airlines aircraft was evacuated. 5 of the 6 occupants of the Coast Guard aircraft suffered fatal injuries. The Captain survived but sustained serious injuries. Unfortunately, the audio prior to the incident was low quality so we could not publish it here. The Japan Airlines crew did receive clearance to land from ATC, and red back a confirmation. The Coast Guard aircraft had been instructed to hold short of the runway at intersection C2. Follow Amy Tango Charlie on Twitter: https://twitter.com/atoocpodcast
