Is More Protein Better?

This month's AISTS Sports Medicine podcast, presented by David Wardle and Kanav Dosajh, class of 2017, provide answers to the question - is more protein better? In sport, it is typically thought that more protein is better. This podcast looks more closely at whether athletes eat too much protein and how this could impact their performance. We all need protein for some basic bodily functions such as: supporting the immune system and for the production of hormones, neurotransmitters and enzymes and it is important for athletes because it is used for recovery and skeletal muscle adaption.
