10' - Dzogchen and Mahamudra Meditation

The texts provide an overview of the Dzogchen and Mahamudra contemplative traditions within Tibetan Buddhism. Dzogchen, the Great Perfection, emphasizes recognizing the innate purity and awareness, or rigpa, that is the true nature of the mind. This recognition is achieved through a direct transmission of teachings from a qualified teacher and through foundational practices, or ngöndro, which include meditation on impermanence, purification, and guru yoga. Mahamudra, the Great Seal, also focuses on realizing the empty yet luminous nature of the mind, but it emphasizes a gradual path that includes meditation on the mind itself. Both traditions advocate for recognizing the inherent buddha nature of all beings, but they approach this goal with different methods and emphasis. The texts highlight the importance of a qualified teacher and the need for sustained practice in order to achieve liberation.

Om Podcasten

"Alchemy of Self" is a transformative process of personal growth, akin to how alchemists sought to turn base metals into gold. In a metaphorical sense, it refers to refining the human spirit, mind, and potential through self-discovery, learning, spiritual or psychological evolution, and/or working directly with a Teacher. In this series, famous and little-known texts about money, mind, and spirit are transformed into AI-based conversations that lead (you) the listener on your own inquiry. Listen carefully, let questions arise, and engage what you hear - now.
