Sarah was born in Cincinnati, Ohio.   When she was 5 years old,  her parents were divorced and she moved to California to a very small hippie town. Her mom and stepdad were hippies. She had an older sister and a younger brother and she was the middle child. She also had  a couple of step sisters and half brothers.  Sarah looks back fondly and says that she had a nice childhood.   She was homeschooled for 5 years.  Her family traveled from San Francisco, up and down the coastline in a sailboat for most of her childhood.  Her dad lived in Cincinnati and she  visited him for summers.  Her family spent their time on a  52 foot sailboat, mostly in the Bay area.  In the summers, her family sailed down to Santa Barbara and back up.  Homeschooling was year round.  Read more
