Dr Murray Ellender is a General Practitioner in South London, co-founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of  eConsult Health. Murray qualified from King’s College London Medical School back in 1999 and trained in Emergency Medicine before starting a career in General Practice. He joined the progressive team at the Hurley Clinic in 2006 and led on urgent care for the group for a number of years. He now practices part time across the Hurley Group, in both general practice and urgent care settings. Nowadays, he spends most of his week running eConsult Health Limited - a health tech company which spun out of the Hurley. The focus of eConsult is to bring NHS care into the digital age, offering patients the ability to consult with their own NHS GP online and be triaged digitally in Urgent & Emergency Care settings. Murray and I met many years ago whilst navigating our way through the Maidstone Vocational Training Scheme in the mid- 2000s, which seems a very very long time indeed....
