Katie works as a pediatric audiologist at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago. She grew up wearing bilateral hearing aids and received a cochlear implant as an adult. Katie shares about her experience her experience growing up with hearing loss and hearing aids, studying Hearing and Speech Sciences and Audiology in undergraduate and graduate school, receiving a cochlear implant as an adult while working as an audiologist, and working with families and children as a pediatric audiologist.
