13. Nicole Gilliland - Part One
Pandora's Box: Nicole Gilliland filed a Title IX lawsuit against Southwestern Oregon Community College (SWOCC) when it became clear she was being run out of the nursing program due to her previous career in porn. Since filing, SWOCC has fought back with the full force of their regional influence in Coos Bay, Oregon to discourage and discredit her. Gilliland was humiliated, exiled, driven to a suicide attempt, her children were taken from her and placed with abusive extended family members. She became homeless, was harassed by law enforcement and eventually had to flee for her life. Today Gilliland joins me to talk about her ongoing case against the school, how she and her family are recovering from their journey to hell-and-back these last two years and why she refuses to quit fighting.
