Giada De Laurentiis, Queen of Italian Cooking, on Her New Book Super-Italian, How To Live La Dolce Vita, and Her Viral Sheet Pan Lasagna Recipe

Katie catches up with her good friend Giada De Laurentiis on her new book, Super-Italian. Giada says the book is a snapshot of where she is in life at the moment -- discussing the virtues of superfoods, and why quality Italian ingredients are the key to nutrition and good health. She explains how La Dolce Vita, the Italian motto of “the sweet life,” is actually a "superfood." The simple act of enjoying your food at a leisurely pace with people you love has healing powers all on its own.   Giada updates us on her personal life as well. Her daughter Jade is 16 years old and has a strong passion for traveling and discovering new foods all over the world. Katie and Giada discuss the different phases of motherhood, with Giada giving excellent advice along the way.  In Giada’s free time, she is an active yoga enthusiast, and swears by both acupuncture and massage therapy. She reveals how she starts each day (spoiler: it's not with coffee, but chicken broth!). She spends more and more time in Italy, discovering new regions and new experiences – she’s hiking in the Dolomites this fall -- and sourcing for her personal food and lifestyle brand, Giadzy.    Join Giada and Katie for an episode that will make you want to book a trip to Italy immediately, or at least run into the kitchen to whip up a bowl of pasta.
