Ep 53 of the Always Better than Yesterday Interview Sessions was with Rebecca Case-Lawler of Lawler Sport and Performance Consulting LLC Rebecca is a former elite tennis player, USCG and now a performance consultant. Rebecca has a really strong sense of service which led her to joining the USCG after the events of 9/11 only to have to leave a few years later through injury. Injury again cut short her professional tennis career. What I loved hearing from Rebecca is that despite this adversity, she “chose to have a different outlook”. It was also great to hear how her mindset from her tennis days of precision and execution, came in handy on an operation with the USCG. Based on this conversation, I got a huge sense of hope, optimism, service, excellence and hard work are all core components of her mindset. Summarised by the phrase “I can, I will”.
