Go Pirates: A discussion of Maritime Studies | All Swell?

Gigi is joined by fellow classmate Allyson Ropp who specializes in Maritime Studies at East Carolina University. Allyson, a maritime archaeologist, discussed the importance of maritime studies in the coastal sector and contemplated how learning about the past can prepare us for the future. Both Gigi and Allyson share how experiences at the coast as kids set them down the path of marine science. They also discuss study abroad experiences, the impact of different eras on the coast, and how Allyson has a special connection to the podcast. If you are interested in learning more, feel free to reach out to Allyson (roppal14@students.ecu.edu).
