#18 Stefano Boeri

Stefano Boeri, one of the most influential architects and urban thinkers of today, and the mind behind the world’s first vertical forest. In this episode, we talk about how an obsession with trees turned into vertical forest skyscrapers, and is now being developed into entire forest cities. Boeri describes the importance of being open about failures and why he wanted to start a university dedicated entirely to architectural failures.

In this episode, we discuss: Bosco Verticale in Milan, Trudo Vertical Forest, Wonderwoods Vertical Forest, Forest City Liuzhou, and Smart Forest City in Cancun. Follow Architecture.Talk on Instagram to see images of the projects we discuss in this episode.

Welcome to Architecture Talks, a podcast where we explore the minds of some of the leading architects who are responsible for creating the spaces that shape our world.

In each episode, our host sits down with one architect at a time to discuss the experiences, lessons, and stories that shaped their careers. Through these conversations, we aim to discover new insights and perspectives that will enrich your understanding of architecture, while also exploring the trends, challenges, and opportunities that define the industry today.

Our host, Mimmi Strömbäck, is an aspiring architect who brings a fresh perspective to the discussions, asking thought-provoking questions and offering unique insights that appeal to both professionals and enthusiasts.
