217 | Phoebe Two Births, Birth Center, Homebirth, Waterbirth, Birthing On Country

In this week’s episode I chat to Phoebe about her first birth, an induced vacuum delivery that left her feeling as though her birth plan had been completely disregarded. When she fell pregnant with her second baby she listened to the intuitive voice within that encouraged her to birth at home on Woiworung land. Phoebe takes us through each hour of her homebirth, from the gentle start of labour to the joyous waterbirth in the late afternoon, witnessed by her family and closest friends. What is most profound about Phoebe’s story is the power of information and education; as she journeyed into her second pregnancy she knew more about the process of birth, was more educated about her options and therefore, trusted in her body and her choices.
