Pete Best (part one)

It may be more than half his lifetime ago, but when Pete Best recalls the moment he was sacked by The Beatles his voice still cracks. This is the first part of a deeply personal interview with the former Beatles drummer, who talks us through the incredible experience of seeing John, Paul and George performing together in the Casbah nightclub owned by his mother Mona - and shares what it was really like to be with the group in Hamburg. We speak to the famous 'fifth Beatle' Pete live on Mathew Street, in the Magical Beatles Museum owned by his brother, the avid memorabilia collector Roag Best.
