Ep. 136: Shady aestheticians, self-tan that can change your skin colour and America’s Next Top Model’s toxic beauty standards

This week I’m diving into three key beauty stories that have basically annoyed a lot of us, or, if not you, me! The three stories I’m focusing on are a shady aesthetician who Photoshopped an actress from Stranger Things to look 'prettier', the toxic beauty standards that Tyra Banks and her America’s Next Top Model team fed to us back in the 2000s and the Bali Body self-tanner that’s allowing white women to change their race while never having to deal with racism or stereotypes. I'd love to know your thoughts on this episode, so feel free to get in touch @beautymepodcast on Instagram or Twitter and be sure to follow me on TikTok @charissekenion to see some video content on this toxic topic and more.
