BMBG[SEASON THREE.EPISODE 3 ]- Friendship Vs Companionship

In this episode we start off with a discussion about Tory Lanez and Meg the Stallion and about how black women are ALWAYS torn down day in and day out even when we try to protect our black men who only go round and disrespect us. We are tired! How is she even being called a snitch after protecting Tory from the very start?? Make it make sense please. ⁣ -⁣ We then move on to the difference between friendship and companionship, the struggles of finding a balance with our identities, finding the right friends or company that understand both our culture and faith. This conversation made us realise we have had a lot of struggles growing up as Black Muslim women in a western society ⁣ -⁣ We then touch on a very sensitive topic which is about embracing ones physical features and how this can be made possible. Again, it’s not as straightforward as it may seem, we realised it’s more than just standing in the mirror and telling yourself “ your beautiful”. ⁣ We touch on other things too that are really beneficial but you’ll have to listen to the podcast to find out! ⁣ -⁣ Please let us know your thoughts and if any of the topics stood out to you. Hope you enjoy. ⁣
