From Homeless to Hope - Patrick van der Jagt
In this powerful episode of Beroendepodden, we meet Patrick van der Jagt – known by many as “Caveman.” Patrick spent over 20 years homeless on the streets of the Netherlands, trapped in the darkness of addiction and hopelessness. During this time, he did whatever it took to survive, including turning to prostitution to fund his addiction. But his story didn’t end there. Patrick shares his raw and honest journey, from the harsh reality of life on the streets and the painful experiences of living in active addiction, to finding hope, healing, and a new purpose. Today, he is not only sober but also a successful photographer, motivational speaker, and a proud father. A key turning point in his recovery was his time at the treatment center White River Manor in South Africa.
