Healing the Inner Child Through Reparenting Ourselves

The Inner Child is the part of us that is feeling remnants of our past. It's our "wounded self", the part of us that is still holding emotions from our childhood and often projecting it onto the world.  The other part is our authentic self, the part of us that is aware and real in this moment. The idea is not to separate ourselves into two pieces, they're both part of us. The intention is to become aware of our inner child self and find ways on how to acknowledge, support and love our more reactive side. This allows us to create more space for our aware self. The most our aware self loves and supports the inner child, the stronger and more authentic we become. Both hold lots of wisdom and it's about becoming one without suppressing or repressing one.
